Manchester’s otherworldly music collective, Folklore Society, is the creative union of Johnny Evans and Wayne Edwards.
Seasoned musicians Evans and Edwards have a rich history of playing with renowned acts like Happy Mondays, Buffalo 66, and Liam Gallagher. This experience fuels their music, described as a captivating blend of beautiful, original, and moving soundscapes.
Folklore Society transcends the typical band model. Johnny Evans crafts the foundation of their music, drawing inspiration from Eivør, Kate Bush, Sigur Rós, and Peter Gabriel. Wayne Edwards then infuses these compositions with his own sonic alchemy, playing a multitude of instruments and shaping the final product. Their creative partnership extends beyond the music, with Wayne crafting captivating visuals for live performances and online presence.

Celebrating the pagan festivals of the Wheel of the Year, their debut LP is a sonic exploration of nature, love, death, and the mysteries of life.
